LOST & FOUND Raymond had been running for the past half-hour from the cafe on Elm Street. It was there where he deposited the silver dollar on the table as a tip to his unsuspecting waitress. The silver dollar was cursed; Raymond would swear to such. Ever since he'd come into contact with it, he'd had horrendous luck - three times now, faced with death. Somehow, some way, the silver dollar always made it back to him. Not this time! He'd tricked it, that's for sure! Let the waitress have bad luck for a while, for he'd had his share. He'd been so thrilled that he'd discovered a way to rid himself of the curse, that he hadn't even waited for his fiance Trina to arrive at the meeting place to pick him up.
And Trina hadn't been any help at all with the silver dollar. She thought that he was overreacting and even teased him about the dollar being, 'his lucky coin'. Finally, safe in the house, he relaxed against the back of the door, relieved that the horror was finally over. "Hon! In here," he heard Trina call out. Hum, she must have stopped at the restaurant, realized he wasn't there and headed for home. Why hadn't she waited for him? Something wasn't quite right. He met her in the den and she greeted him with a kiss. "Lucky you! It's your lucky day!" She giggled, then held up the silver dollar as Raymond reeled, wanting to fall back against the wall for support. He was locked in a daze as she eased out, "Lucky for you that I was able to scoop this off the table before the waitress. Guess you didn't realize that you'd accidentally given her your lucky coin? Nonetheless, I left behind a tip and the manager told me that you'd just left, so I headed on home. Now, aren't you a lucky guy?"
"Yes, lucky, lucky Raymond, for although he may not realize it, his daffy Trina is now the holder of the coin simply because she accepted the coin. So...lucky, lucky Trina...."
