Werewolf Short Story - Nine Inch Nails

One hot August night, Sally examined her hands under the full moon sailing high overhead. She detested her hands, in particular her nails.  So boxy, so brittle, so wavy and too short.

She had tried all of the OTC remedies for nails - from every product that claimed to grow nails to those that promised to add luster to nails.  Nothing worked - at least for her.

And being allergic to fake nails was a bummer.  Yes, it was her little cross in life to bear. Ugly short nails.

Suddenly, deftly Sally was attacked from behind, knocked completely to the ground. Desperately, she tried to fight off her attacker.  Through her delirium, she assumed it was a wild dog.

Panic-stricken, she was quickly overtaken by the beast, falling into a deep, deep sleep....

When Sally awoke, she was terrified to discover fangs springing out of her mouth, covering her lips.  A silky mane followed and it was at this moment that she realized that she had been bitten by a werewolf.

In shock, she lifted her arm, gazing at her silky mane which was quite lovely, but not nearly as lovely as the nine-inch nails that suddenly shot into place under the glow of the full moon.

Sally smiled, running through the shadows of the night howling, her nail dilemma solved.....
