Widow Maker - The city lay shrouded in the distance, looming like a fragile virgin clothed in white.  GYPSY TALES BY A FULL MOON

 Werewolf Meets a Gypsy - Act I

Once upon a time there lived a sweet werewolf and a cranky old gypsy.  The werewolf had come to accept his curse with time, deciding to make the best out of a bad situation.  No sense in remaining bitter about his wolf curse and full moons.  He had learned to deal with his situation one moment at a time.

The gypsy had always been cranky.  He had been born cranky and perhaps would have faired better in the corporate world rather than the world down under.  The life of a gypsy wasn't a smooth ride.  Besides, he didn't have time to be happy.  He'd be happy when he was dead.  There was too much to do right now between coaxing in customers and peddling tonics that didn't work.

One bright afternoon he was pitching his tonics when the werewolf happened by.  Of course, he appeared to be a young man rather than a wolf because werewolves are only werewolves under the light of a full moon.

"Young fellow, this tonic will cure anything," the gypsy promised him.  "From curing warts to curing diseases under the pants."

The werewolf lifted his eyebrows.  "Really?  Well.....what about a tonic for removing curses?" he plied, hoping that the gypsy didn't pry.

Beneath a Gypsy Moon -  A full moon hung high over the night corridor.  The screech of a barn owl could be heard in the distance and it eerily mingled with the metal chimes of the dancing gypsy.   She had arrived alone this evening beneath a full moon that bore a misted halo and the promise of rain.  And there she danced before the small crowd of used car salesmen.  continue
